Robert Leland “Bob” Green, 74, Mt. Vernon, Ind., died Saturday, November 21, 2009, at home from complications of long standing pulmonary disease.

He was born June 30, 1935, in Fredonia to Charles and Geneva Manning Green. He graduated from Fredonia High school in 1953, served six years in the Kansas Army Guard, and attended a year at Washburn University.

He married Sharon Sharp on Nov. 7, 1954.

He worked with JI Case as vice president of agricultural sales for North and South America from 1972 to 1992.

Survivors include a brother, Richard A. Green, McKinney, Texas; four sons, Lt. Gen. C. Bruce Green, MD, Washington, D.C., R. Brian Green, Mt. Vernon, Ind., T. Bradley Green, Racine, Wis., and A. Brent Green, Racine, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in Mt. Vernon, Ind., at Schneider Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday followed by a brief memorial service.

A second memorial service will be held in Fredonia at Timmons Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Sat followed by a brief memorial service at Timmons Chapel. A private burial will follow at Fredonia City Cemetery.
