Harlene Gayle Montgomery, 52, Chanute, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov.18, 2009 at her home.
Harlene was born in Albuquerque, N.M., on July 22, 1957, the daughter of Harley Dean and Margie Luella McAfee Montgomery. She graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1976.
She was a mother and homemaker.
Harlene is survived by her father, Harley Dean Montgomery; her mother, Margie Luella Hull; her significant other, Floyd Bowker; a son, Casey Hanner and his wife, Christy; two daughters, Jerica Essig and her husband, John, and Brandi Alison and her fiancée, Mike Harrison; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Skip Montgomery and Steve Montgomery; and a sister, Cathy Montgomery.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Turner’s Syndrome Society and may be left with the funeral home.
