Perfidia V. Van Arsdale, 52, Valley Center, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

She was born March 2, 1956, in Chanute, to Manuel I. and Virginia Perez Marquez. She graduated from Humboldt High School.

She was employed with the Federal Defense Department at McConnell Air Force Base.

She married Marc Van Arsdale in Humboldt on Aug. 4, 1984. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, John Van Arsdale, Wichita; a daughter, Miquela Van Arsdale, Valley Center; her mother, Virginia Marquez, Humboldt; and three brothers, Michael Dean Marquez, Houston, Texas, Gregory Marquez, Moran, and Jeffery L. Marquez, Humboldt.

She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel I. Marquez; and a brother, Miquel Marquez.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at the Church of the Resurrection in Bellaire. Burial will follow in the Mass in Kechi Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.

Contributions to the Leukemia Society of Kansas may be made in care of the funeral home.
