Bernard “Bernie” David Shively, 61, Claremore, Okla., died Monday, January 4, 2010.
He was born Jan. 6, 1948, at Parsons to Edward Eugene and Bernadine Frances Titmus Shively. He graduated from Stark High School in 1965.
He joined the U.S. Air Force in November 1966 and served in the Vietnam Conflict until his honorable discharge in August 1970.
He was employed with State Farm Insurance at the time of his death.
He married Tana Wolfe on Aug. 10, 1974. He married Janice Sanders on Feb. 14, 1997, in Boatman, Okla. She survives.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include his mother, Bernadine Shively, Girard; three children, Adrienne Moon, Claremore, Okla., Jon Sanders, Newburgh, Ind., and Jacque Guinn, Claremore, Okla.; three grandchildren; five siblings, Wayne Shively, Erie, Lorraine Eggen, Topeka, Frances Simmons, Chanute, Kenneth Shively, Wichita, and Keith Shively, Girard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Shively.
Funeral was Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Claremore. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.
