Doris Kathlyn Gossett, 85, Chanute, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at the Chanute Health Care Center.
Doris was born in Erie on August 3, 1924, the daughter of Ralph and Frankie Rule Clemans. She grew up and attended schools in Chanute.
She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Gossett on March 15, 1941 in Chanute. They moved to Whittier, Calif., in 1946. He preceded her in death in April 2007.
She was a homemaker and worked as an Inspector for Baker Manufacturer.
Doris is survived by a son, Danny Gossett, of the home; a sister, Willa Babcock, Chanute; a brother, Charles Clemans, of Medford, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill, and two brothers, Ralph Clemans, Jr., and Elmer Clemans.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorials in her name may be made to Tri-Valley Developmental Center and may be left with the funeral home.
