Isabelle Josephine Reker, 95, formerly of Yates Center, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 in Topeka.

Isabelle was born in Graingeville, Idaho, the daughter of Joseph Altman and Teresia Schwartz Altman.

On Sept. 14, 1937 she was united in marriage to Edmund “Ed” Reker in Lismore, Minn. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1996.

After their marriage they moved to the Wichita area until moving to Yates Center in 1954. Isabelle moved to Perry in 1998.

Isabelle was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Yates Center. For several years, Isabelle worked for Jim Perkins at his Dry Goods store in Yates Center. She also worked for McGinty-Coffman.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen Flynn, Perry; one son, Dale Reker, Pleasanton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha Dawson and Regina Erpelding, both of Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a..m. Wednesday, Feb, 3 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Yates Center, Kansas. A Rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. at the church. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Friends For Life and sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home, P.O. Box 188, Yates Center, Kansas 66783
