Thomas Warren Anderson Jr., 61, Overland Park, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008, at his home.

Thomas, known to family and friends as "Tucker," was born in Iola on June 21, 1946, the son of Thomas Warren Anderson Sr. and Bessie Taylor Anderson. Thomas accepted Christ and was baptized at Poplar Grove Baptist Church and attended Humboldt Schools. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Tucker is survived by his children, Carla Jeanette Anderson, Austin Thomas Anderson, and Taylor Anderson Snyder; and granddaughter, Lillian Snyder; brothers and sisters, John H. Anderson of Shawnee, Lawrence E. & Ann Toni Anderson of Kansas City, Mo., James E. Anderson of Overland Park, Dona L. Anderson Peterson of Denver, Colo., and Bettye M. Anderson of Overland Park; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jeanette Anderson Walsh and Marilyn Jean Anderson.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2008, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt. Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel.
