Juanita M. Hettler, 84, Humboldt, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City.

Juanita was born in Bucyrus on Nov. 27, 1925, the daughter of C. Hampton and Emma Markley Winkler. She grew up and attended public schools in Bucryus.

She was united in marriage to Charles “Wayne” Hettler on June 4, 1950 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death in 1997.

She was a homemaker.

Juanita is survived by a daughter, Marsha K. Ellison, Humboldt; a son, Steven W. Ellison, Humboldt; and one grandson, Jason L. Ellison, Fort Worth, Texas.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Cremation has taken place.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association or Castaways Animal Shelter and may be left with the funeral home.
