Glenn Kiddoo, 84, Chanute, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at his home.

Glenn was born on Nov.r 5, 1925 in Neodesha, the only child of Cline and Ioma Watson Kiddoo.

He attended Neodesha schools, graduating from Neodesha High School in 1944. He received his Associates Degree in Printing from Neosho County Junior College.

He enlisted in the United States Navy in May of 1944 and served his country honorably during WWII in the Pacific Theatre until May of 1946.

Glenn was united in marriage to June Kebert on August 13, 1950 in Neodesha. She preceded him in death in 2006.

He worked as a typesetter for the Chanute Tribune. He also worked at Humboldt Brick and Tile, Mid America Refinery and retired from the City of Chanute in 1990.

Glenn was a member of the Elks, VFW and the American Legion and enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as visiting with friends and family.

Glenn is survived by three children, Brad Kiddoo and his wife. Amy, Bruce Kiddoo and his wife, Debra, and Barbara Kiddoo-Busenbarrick, all of Chanute; six grandchildren, Robin Scearce, Randee Allen, Ashli Fox, Adam Kiddoo, Dan Busenbarrick and Jesse Busenbarrick; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, June.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10 at the First Christian Church in Chanute. Graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Neodesha Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute.

Memorials in his name may be made to the First Christian Church and may be left with the funeral home.
