Rebecca Nadine Long, 56, Raytown, Mo., formerly of Erie, died Friday, March 12, 2010, at the Memorial Medical Center in Overland Park.

She was born June 16, 1953, at Mercy Hospital in Parsons to Earl E. and Melba Noakes Long. She graduated from Erie High School in 1971.

She was employed with the TATERA Group as a Head Nurse and at Armor Homes for 11 years as a Charge Nurse. Her career in nursing spanned 34 years until she was unable to continue work.

Survivors include a twin brother, Russell Eugene Long, Erie; a sister, Linda Gail Long-Meyers, Hadley, N.Y.; and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She will be be cremated and no funeral services were requested. There will be a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
