Billie Lee Lauber, 84, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, in Topeka.
He was born March 13, 1926, in Yates Center to Oscar and Dessie Gillespie Lauber.
He spent his entire life in Woodson County and the majority of this time raising Herford cattle.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of the First Christian Church in Yates Center.
On June 29, 1951, he married Elizabeth Jean Clement at Yates Center. She died on Dec. 14, 1993.
Survivors include a son, Gerald W. Lauber; a daughter, Janna Lauber, Topeka; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, O.L. “Bub” Lauber.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. today at the First Christian Church in Yates Center with interment to follow in Yates Center Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home, Yates Center.
