C. “Ted” Noble, 72, rural Walnut, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at his home.
He was born Dec. 5, 1937, in Springfield, Ill., to Theodore Clyde and Elsie Marie Hennerberger Noble. He graduated from high school in Pleasant Plains, Ill.
In 1973, he moved to Walnut where he farmed, raised hogs, and was owner/operator of his own trucking company and for many years hauled cattle.
He and Doris E. Sandness were married in February 1958. They later divorced. He and Cassandra Hayes were married May 24, 1994, in Walnut at the United Methodist Church. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Steven C. Noble, McCune; two daughters, Vicki King, Walnut, and Mary Hartzell, Erie; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, John B. Noble, Pleasant Plains, Ill.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Walnut United Methodist Church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pleasant Plains (Ill.) Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
