Dale Eugene Bogle, 80, Wellsville, died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Ransom Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1930, in Thrall to Boyd and Mary Ann Kirk Bogle. He grew up in and around the McClouth area where he attended school.
The son of an oil family, he moved frequently as work presented.
On May 2, 1951, he married Jean Marie Farrell in Van Buren, Ark. They live in Chanute, Eagle, Neb., and eventually Wellsville. They were married 40 years before her death in 1991.
He owned Jayhawk Glass while in Chanute and was a retired drilling contractor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Eagle, Neb.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Barbara Bogle, Chanute, and Chris and Amy Bogle, Wellsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Steve Sneed, Thayer, and Lori and Dan Dunn, Liberty, Mo.; three brothers, Donald Bogle, Mesa, Ariz., Marion Bogle, Wellsville, and Gale Bogle, Tahlequah, Okla.; a sister, Linda Butler, Chanute; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Duane, Larry and Gary.
Cremation will take place. A memorial visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Altoona. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson’s Funeral Home, Wellsville.
