Katherine D. Knox Setter, 91, Humboldt, died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt.

She was born Aug. 19, 1918, in rural Humboldt to Samuel Miles II and Mabel Lula Davis Knox. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1936.

She married Ambrose J. Setter on Dec. 11, 1941, at St. John’s Church in Iola. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include by eight sons, James J., Phil R., Bernard M., Gregory L., John R., Bruce F., Charles E. and Stephen D. Setter; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters

Mass of Christian Burial will be recited at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials to Allen County Hospice and Home Health may be left with the funeral home.
