Faye B. Ward, 65, Erie, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo.

She was born Dec. 5, 1942, at Hutchinson to Ivan and Genevieve Cox Wohlford. She attended Severy schools before graduating from Wichita School of Business.

On June 3, 1962, she married Jess Ward at Severy. He died July 7, 2007.

She was employed for many years at the Neosho County Courthouse. She was a member of the Shaw Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Ward, Erie, and Steve Ward, Parsons; two daughters, Patti Ward, Indian Trail, N.C., and Linda Vaillancourt, Russell, Mass.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Lewis Wohlford, Bella Vista, Ark; and a sister, Anna Mae Yocham, Hutchinson.

Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church, Erie. Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery under the direction of Pierce-Carson Wall Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
