Bob Stierwalt, 72, Chanute, died Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Heritage Health Care Center.

He was born Nov. 4, 1936, in Urbana to Walter Gray and Muriel Adams Stierwalt.

He married Rose Shults on June 19, 1959, in Erie. She survives.

He was a mechanic and a tow truck driver for 40 years.

Other survivors include two sons, Michael Stierwalt, Augusta, and Randy Stierwalt, Fredonia; two daughters, Misty Franklin, Farlington, and Wendy Wade, Buffalo; 14 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and two brothers, LaVern Stierwalt, Mesa, Ariz., and Arnold Stierwalt, Fort Worth, Texas.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Stierwalt; and two sisters, Betty Staggs and Phyllis Cook.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will follow in Urbana Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Contributions to Southern Care Hospice in Pittsburg may be left with the funeral home.
