Bonnie J. McCune, 79, of Joplin, Mo., died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was born May 31, 1930 in Ponca City, Okla., to Murel Wesley and Edna Johnson Louderback.

Bonnie moved to the Joplin area in 2004 from Chanute. She and Duke managed apartment complexes for 25 years in the Dallas area. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Chanute.

Bonnie married Richard McCune on July 4, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives. Additional survivors include four sons, Mike Summers, Joplin, Douglas Summers, Wagoner, Okla., Steve Cochran, Beaver Falls, Pa., Kerry Cochran, Parkersburg, W.V.; one stepdaughter, Debbie Schoenhoffer, St. Paul; four brothers, Murel Louderback, Nixa, Mo., Jim Louderback, Casa Grande, Ariz., Wayne Louderback, Auburn, Richard Louderback, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, Donna Johnston, Lamar, Mo., Beverly Debusk, Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Chanute City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel.
