Robert Lee Osburn, 79, Yates Center, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park.

Robert was born Oct. 25, 1930, in White Water, the son of Clark and Jennie Viola Cooley Tucker. In 1945 Robert moved with his family to the Yates Center area where he graduated with the Yates Center High School Class of 1948.

On Dec. 15, 1948 he enlisted in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Corporal on August 28, 1951. Robert returned to the Woodson County area where he lived and farmed until his death.

He is survived by his sister, Janice A. Osburn Hiestand, Arvada, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13 at Yates Center, Cemetery. The family will gather to greet friends at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center at 1 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Woodson County Library and sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home, P.O.
