Karen Sue Embry, 55, Owasso, Okla., formerly of Chanute, died early Monday morning, May 24, 2010 at her home in Owasso following a lengthy illness.

She moved to Chanute with her family while growing up and graduated from high school at Chanute. She was married to David Randall Embry at Chanute on August 3, 1973.

Survivors include her husband, David Randall Embry, of Owasso; one son, Jonathan Randall Embry, Dubuque, Iowa; two daughters, Jennifer Elizabeth Embry, Owasso, and Tiffany Lynn Hutchinson, Tulsa; her mother, Carrie Marie McClure, Owasso, and two brothers, Ward McClure, Owasso, and Don McClure, Denver, Colo.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 27 at the Dewey Church of the Nazarene in Dewey, Okla., the Rev. Lum Newberry and the Rev. Larry Brinkley officiating. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory of Bartlesville, Okla.
