Ralph Glen Martin, formerly of Chanute, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Danish Care Center in Atascadero.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1943 to 1946. His tour of duty was in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a Radar man and Navigator for the 20th Air Corp and obtained the rank of 1st Lieutenant. His decorations include: Air Medal with an oak leaf cluster, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, The American Theater Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

Survivors include a daughter, Terry Casey; three sons, Patrick, Kevin and Kent Martin; three grandchildren, Robin, Colin and Thomas Martin; and a sister, Alice Arthur, Chanute.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Martin; and a sister, Wanda Wieser.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Roses Funerals and Cremations.
