Doyle Ray “Bud” Niemeyer, 59, Yates Center, died Friday, December 12, 2008, at Coffey County Hospital, Burlington.
He was born May 3, 1949, in Gary, Ind., to Ernest and Norma Trueblood Niemeyer. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1967, and Indiana State University in 1974.
He was employed as District Park Manager for Cross Timbers and Fall River State Parks.
He married Linda Yocum at Crown Point, Ind., on Oct. 4, 1969. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Norma Niemeyer, Lowell, Ind.; a son, Jason Ray Niemeyer, Wichita; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Niemeyer, Shawnee; and a brother, Rick Niemeyer, Lowell, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Pam Cunningham.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell Funeral Home, Yates Center. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery, Yates Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
