Michael W. “Mike” Hubbard, 53, Yates Center, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
He was born Sept. 16, 1954, in Eureka to Floyd A. and Mildred Brandon Hubbard. He graduated from Yates Center High School in 1972 and attended Fort Scott and Neosho County Community College.
He worked as a maintenance supervisor over all six branches of Coffey County Library from 1994 until 2007.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Yates Center.
He married Gloria Heffern on June 26, 1976, in Yates Center. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Brandon Michael Hubbard, Yates Center; a daughter, Clara Renee Hubbard, Yates Center; a brother, Frank Hubbard, Chanute; and two sisters, Floie Sauder, Gridley, and Pamela Knowles, Warsaw, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Allen Hubbard.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Yates Center Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
