Raymond J. McKinney, 78, Humboldt, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 25, 1929, in South Mound to William L. “Bill” and Emma A. Thomas McKinney. He attended Erie schools and worked as a mechanic at the family-owned DX service station.

He moved to Tri-Valley, Humboldt, where he had lived since 1990.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Erie.

Survivors include a sister, Anna Letcher, Erie; numerous nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Gertrude McKinney, Parsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Bob, Bill and Richard McKinney.

Funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Erie. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, Parsons.

The Rosary will be 7 p.m. today at the church. The family will receive friends following the Rosary.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Raymond was a very dear person to all of us at Tri-Valley. He will be greatly missed by the clients and the staff. I'm a staff at the workshop.
