Jimmy Dean Jones, 75, Humboldt, died Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Fountain Villa Residential Care Center in Iola.
Jimmy was born in Chanute on June 15, 1935, the son of Willis E. and Anna M. Williams Jones. He grew up in Buffalo and attended Buffalo High School.
He was united in marriage to Donna Maxwell on July 30, 1954. She survives, of the home.
Jimmy was a chemical distribution manager for Advanced Chemical Company.
He was a member of the Elks and Kansas State Grange. He enjoyed camping, fishing, water-skiing, traveling and bowled for 17 years.
Along with his wife, Donna, he is survived by a son, Jimmy L. Jones and his wife, Ester, Navarre, Fla.; a daughter, Debra Lake, Humboldt; four grandchildren, Luke and Janie Jones Kerr, Anchorage, Alaska, and Joseph and Christina Jones Stein, Navarre, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan Joseph Stein and Emma Grace Stein, Navarre, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral was 3 p.m. Monday, July 5 at the Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel. Cremation was to take place following the service and inurnment will be private.
Memorials in his name may be made to Kansas Special Olympics and may be left with the funeral home.
