Mark Steven Murrill, 47, Humboldt, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in Humboldt.

Mark was born in Butler, Mo., on Oct. 3, 1960 the son of Tom and Beverly Zeibert Murrill. He graduated from Humboldt High School and attended Pittsburg State University.

He was an insurance agent and owner of Murrill Insurance in Humboldt.

Mark was united in marriage to Connie Carter on June 30, 1984 in Wilson County.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, of the home; his mother, Beverly Murrill, Humboldt; a brother, David Murrill, Overland Park, two sisters, Lisa Stattelman, Oak Grove, Mo., and Cindy Murrill-Pfeifer, of Seattle, Wash.; and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Murrill.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 9 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. at the chapel.

Memorials in his name may be made to the Tom and Beverly Murrill Scholarship Fund at Allen County Junior College and may be left with the funeral home.
