Robert M. “Bob” Grillot, 47, St. Paul, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. He had been in failing health but his death was unexpected.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1963 at Parsons to J. Edward “Eddie” and Margaret O’Hara Grillot. He grew up at St. Paul and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1982. He attended Coffeyville Community College and graduated from the electrical program and received his journeyman electrician certification.
He worked at a few manufacturing companies in the area before moving to the Kansas City area.
He and Diana Johnson were married on Aug. 7, 1987 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. They later divorced.
Bob’s survivors include his daughter, Jayme Grillot, Columbia, Mo.; his son, Tanner Grillot, stationed at Sasebo, Japan; his mother, Margaret Grillot, St. Paul; five brothers, Joe Grillot, Chanute, Dave Grillot, Pittsburg, Jim Grillot, Olathe, Tom Grillot, St. Paul, Randy Grillot, Olathe; three sisters, Peggy Wunderly, Devon, Nancy Foster, Pomona and his twin sister, Becky Hays, Chetopa.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Following cremation a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Cemetery.
