Michael Lee Quintero, 30, Chanute, formerly of Coffeyville and LaHarpe, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 from injuries received in a automobile accident west of Iola.
He was born May 2, 1980 in Coffeyville to Gene and Peggy Morrow Quintero. He attended school in Coffeyville.
Mike was a heavy equipment operator for Harry Byers and Sons Construction Co. in Chanute for several years.
Survivors include three sons, Taylor Lee Quintero, Michael Lewis Quintero, and Alex Gene Quintero, all of Chanute; his longtime companion Katrina Doolittle, Chanute; his mother, Peggy Quintero, Coffeyville; his father and stepmother, Gene and Sarah Quintero, Coffeyville; one brother, Marcus Quintero, Coffeyville; and four sisters, Judy Sprague, Caney, Sandy Davis, Mound Valley, Dana Quintero, Tuttle, Okla.; Rachel Bratcher, Blanchard, Okla.
A memorial service is planned 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 at the River of Life Tabernacle west of Coffeyville. Cremation has taken place.
