Robert E. “Bob” Lamb, 70, rural Parsons, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at his home. He had been in failing health the past several years.
He was born April 6, 1940, on a farm near Parsons, to Edwin and Eva Chrisman Lamb. He grew up there and attended Labette County Community High School, graduating in 1957.
On August 16, 1958 he married Carolyn Duling at Independence.
For 41 years he was employed by the Neosho County Highway Department, retiring in 1999 as road and bridge foreman. He also farmed and raised cattle. He enjoyed taking care of his farm and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Lamb, of the home; two sons, Steven Lamb, Parsons, Ronald Lamb and his wife, Kim, Parsons; two daughters, Cheryl Cranor and her husband, Steven, Chetopa, Charlotte Lamb, Parsons; six grandchildren, Levi Cranor and his wife, Crystel, Dustin Cranor, Lyndsey Cranor, Jene’ Haas and her husband, Jarrod, Brice Lamb and Jacob Lamb; five great-grandchildren, Bailey Shomaker, Elijah Cranor, Kortland Lamb, Karson Lamb and Mason Haas.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Letha Franklin, a niece, Sharon Burlingame and his twin daughters, Janie and Janet Lamb
