Dale M. Trimmell, 90, Coyville, died Monday, June 23, 2008, at Cherryvale Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born Jan. 21, 1918, in rural Greenwood to Milton and Stella Knox Trimmell. He graduated from Fall River High School in 1937. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945.

On Nov. 27, 1946, he married Jessie Steele in Benedict. She died Jan. 14, 2003.

He was a retired rancher and a member of the Coyville Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Eddie Trimmell, Coyville; four daughters, Carolyn Reaves, Friendswood, Texas, Marilyn Kidd and Beverly Moorhead, both of Fredonia, and Roberta Dickey, Wichita; a brother, Bill Trimmell, Neodesha; three sisters, Ruby Bunce and Verna Lea Shafer, both of Fredonia, and Marjorie Stone, Derby; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther and Victor; and three sisters, Lucille, Bonnie and Joyce; and an infant brother and sister.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Timmons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Coyville Cemetery under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home, Fredonia.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
