Vyrel Lee Craft, 66, Chanute, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at his home east of Chanute.
Lee was born in Stark City, Mo., on May 14, 1944, the son of Ralph and Vera Turner Craft. He graduated from high school in Erie in 1962. He was a truck driver and a welder for Chanute Manufacturing for more than 20 years.
He was united in marriage to Lynda Holcomb on Aug. 8, 1968. She survives, of the home.
He is also survived by his mother, Vera Craft; five daughters; Laura Stout, Teresa Craft, Heather Cox, Melissa Warnick and Beth Craft; one son, Michael Craft; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by one son, David Lee Craft, and his father Ralph.
A memorial graveside service will take place 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. There will also be a gathering for friends and family after the service at the Reach Out Christian Center at 1st and Malcolm Street in Chanute.
Memorials in his name may be made to Cast-A-Ways Animal Shelter and may be left with the funeral home
