Stuff. I have stuff.
How about you? Have you wondered where all this stuff comes from?
I think trolls bring stuff in the dark and clutter the house. It must be because when I ask where this mess comes from, everyone says, “I didn’t do it!”
Trolls, evil little “trolls,” think cluttering our lives is a joke.
What about our cluttered hearts? In our heart we have a committee. I call them the “stinkin’ thinkin’” committee. And their voices are loud.
Critical Chrystal disapproves of everything and everybody. Demanding Dan runs over everyone to get his way. Ostrich Olive, head in the sand, never sees a problem. Competitive Charles is going to win by whatever it takes. And then there is Gloomy Gus. Gus says, “You can’t do it.” “You aren’t good enough”. “Who do you think you are?”
And at the head of the table is the chairman, Jesus. We can’t hear his voice because of the din and confusion of the committee.
The little trolls love to listen in to the conversation in our heart. It provides them with great humor.
The cure for the cluttered heart? Simplicity. Simplicity stills the voice of the committee and listens only to the chairman.
Simplicity cuts out the useless stuff out of our lives. It keeps only the important... Simplicity puts first things first. And the rest of life falls into place.
Simplicity brings clarity; clearness brings order.
Practicing simplicity will clear the clutter of your heart.
There is only one voice you need to listen to at the table, Jesus. Cut out the voices of Crystal, Dan, Olive, Charles, and Gus and confusion clears up immediately.
One voice. That’s all that you need to hear. One voice.
One voice. One choice. There it is. Simple. Cut through the clutter of the heart by listening to the voice of Jesus. Cut through the demanding schedule by doing what He asks you to do.
