Neosho County Community College recognized outstanding Class of 2025 graduates during Academic Awards Ceremonies held on the Chanute and Ottawa campuses last week.
Awards were given to outstanding graduates in each discipline or program, selected by the program director. Students who finished a Career and Technical Education certificate with a 4.0 GPA were honored with a special pin. Panther-CLAW awards were given to students who achieved special qualifications for learning outside the classroom through clubs and cultural events. Student Senate officers were also highlighted, and high-achieving student-athletes were also recognized.
The final award of the night, but far from the least important, was the Sigma Alpha cords. Cords were awarded to the top 10% of graduates in the Class of 2025.
On Friday, May 16, the 88th Annual Commencement of Neosho County Community College will be held. A Healthcare Pinning Ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m., followed by the college-wide ceremony at 7 p.m. Attendees can view the ceremony in person or tune in to the livestream on the NCCC YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@ NeoshoCountyCC.
