Daughters of Isabella to attend Mission Days parade

ST. PAUL – Regent Linda DeGarmo called the May 13 meeting of the Daughters of Isabella to order at St. Francis parish hall, in St. Paul. The Spiritual Activity, “Food For Life: Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread” was given by Cheryl Trepagnier. DeGarmo shared a reading, “Finishing With Joy.” Ten officers answered the roll call.

The quarterly audit report was given by Marilyn Bradshaw, third auditor.

Members turned in their quarterly volunteer report. The annual Mission Days celebration and parade, Saturday of Memorial Day weekend was brought up. The Knights of Columbus plan to have a float in the parade and members of the D of I will be welcome to ride on the float. A Daughter of Isabella Banner was discussed with hope that one can be obtained before the parade.

The meeting closed with members saying the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Door prizes were won by Kathy Grosidier winning the grand door prize. Other winners were Marlene Clark and Cheryl Trepagnier.

Daughter of the Month was Jolene Born who was presented with a large red rose.

Refreshments were served by hostess Louise Jarboe.
