The Best Yet 4-H Club visits bank

The Best Yet 4-H club monthly meeting was called to order by Laura Fischbach at Home Savings Bank on May 4. Nolan Dent told some “Star Wars” jokes for club inspiration. Role call was taken with the question “What is your favorite way to relax?” It was answered by 21 members, two leaders, and zero guests.

The minutes for the previous meeting were read and approved. Drake Schultz gave the treasurer’s report. Rylee Dent provided the reporter’s report. Jill Kepley gave a leader report and discussed clean up, work days, royalty details, and royalty voting.

In new business, Grace nominated Laura and Sam Fischbach as queen and king royalty candidates. Nolan nominated Ryder Smith as prince royalty candidate. Lewis Meyer nominated Lydia Meyer as princess royalty candidate.

In other new business, the Meyer family volunteered to be the stall sign committee. Also, Max Hendrickson moved to set a $100 budget for stall curtains. Clair Schoenecker moved to set a $200 budget for the club booth. Nolan Dent moved to adjourn the meeting.

May birthdays were celebrated by singing the birthday song. Gifts were presented to the seniors. Sam Fischbach gave a talk on cattle diseases and Laura Fischbach informed the members about cattle vaccines. For recreation, members played musical chairs.
