KDOT to begin resurfacing on U.S. 169 in Anderson County

The Kansas Department of Transportation announced today that a resurfacing project will begin the week of June 9 on U.S. 169 in Anderson County.

The project will apply hotmix asphalt from the Allen/ Anderson county line to 500 Road.

Work is expected to be completed by mid-July, weather permitting.

During construction, traffic will be managed by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists should be prepared for stops and potential delays of up to 15 minutes.

Bettis Asphalt and Construction, based in Topeka, is the prime contractor for the $760,000 project.

KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in Southeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/projects/southeast- kansas-projects.
