Recent Erie High School graduate, Cody Elliott, was recognized at last week’s Kansas State FFA Convention as a recipient of Tractor Supply Company’s FFA Future Leaders Scholarship. Across the National FFA Organization, fifty-four 2025 high school graduates, with only 3 in the state of Kansas, pursuing agriculture-related four-year majors, were chosen to receive the $10,000 scholarship. Tractor Supply Company’s FFA Future Leaders scholarship is the largest ag-related scholarship of its kind.
Erie FFA Advisor, Mrs. Makayla LeBlanc, along with two community members, wrote recommendation letters on Cody’s behalf. Consideration was also given to Elliott’s leadership, community involvement and academics which made him eligible for a multitude of scholarships, ranging from $1000 to $10,000, offered in partnership with the National FFA Organization.
Cody Elliott served as the Erie FFA Chapters Sentinel during his junior year and was the President during the 202425 school year. He received his State FFA Degree at last year’s Kansas State Convention.
This fall, Elliott will be attending Kansas State University in Salina and majoring in Aviation. His end goal is to be a crop dusting pilot. Cody is the son of Jason and Tera Elliott of rural Erie.
