Ricky Warren Millson

Ricky Warren Millson, 71, passed away peacefully at Wilson Medical Center on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Born January 19, 1954, in Kansas City, Kansas, he was the only child of Robert and Novella (Winder) Millson.

Rick graduated from Chanute High School in 1972 and went on to build a career marked by dedication and hard work. He spent ten years each at Humboldt Brick and Walmart, contributing his skills and diligence to both companies.

Beyond his professional life, Rick possessed a vibrant spirit and numerous passions. He enjoyed the camaraderie of softball, was a devoted fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and treasured watching college football games. Many will remember him fondly cruising Main Street in his beloved white 1977 Trans Am, a testament to his appreciation for classic style.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Novella Millson, and several cousins, Rick is survived by his cousins: Fran Smith of Kansas City, Kansas; Mick and Sue Williams of Sycamore, Illinois; Pricilla Miller of Pittsburg, Missouri; Richard and Linda Williams of Chanute; James and Suzanna Williams of Chanute; and Pete and Lora Sterling of Yates Center. These cousins, along with numerous friends, will cherish the memories of his kind heart and infectious enthusiasm.

Per Rick’s wishes, he will be laid to rest next to his parents at Neosho County Memorial Park in a private ceremony. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home. While his physical presence is deeply missed, the impact of his life will continue to be felt by all who knew and loved him.

“See you later Butch.”

“Okay, I will see you later Willy.”
