Installation of the 2025-2026 officers was devised and performed by Kathy Williams. The theme was color, which was based on Sir Isaac Newton’s invention of the color wheel in 1666. The spectrum consists of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. These are also found in the rainbow. Each officer was assigned a color characterizing their roles and responsibilities. Officers received scented candles in their color with flowers glued on top of the lid.
The Treasurer is Linda Powers, who was assigned green, symbolizing Mother Nature’s bounty, abundance, wealth, prosperity, and growth.
Tayah Williams was named secretary, and was assigned the color red, symbolizing energy, vitality, spirit, alertness and perseverance.
Brown was named vice president and was assigned the color blue, which symbolizes Loyalty, truth, inspiration, stability, faithfulness and serenity.
Sharon Carpenter was named president and was assigned the color violet, which symbolizes leadership, greatness, unselfishness, effort and loyalty. All members are represented by the color white, which symbolizes trust, truth, simplicity, honesty, sincerely and efficiency. An additional officer was installed. Kathy Williams was installed as Official Social Media Chair. Tayah’s daughter Prestyn is the official mascot.
As a community service project both Brown and Kathy brought packaged items which were donated to Credo Assisted Living for Bingo prizes.
