KDOT to begin field survey for U.S. 69 improvements in Crawford County

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is scheduled to begin a field survey along U.S. 69 in Crawford County on or about July 14. This essential data collection will support the detailed design of proposed intersection improvements in the area. KDOT anticipates completing the survey by Labor Day.

The survey will focus on several intersections, including: US400/K-171; Langdon Lane/Kansas Crossing; Olive Street; Memorial Drive; West Quincy Avenue; 590th Avenue; and 620th Avenue.

A member of the survey crew will contact property owners and/or tenants to request permission before entering private property. Survey activities will include using instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the survey corridor.

John Davies, P.S., Survey Project Manager, will oversee this survey for KDOT.

KDOT reminds motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in Southeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/projects/southeast- kansas-projects.
