The July Monthly Jolly Jayhawkers 4-H Club meeting was held on Sunday, July 13 at 4 p.m. at the Stark Community Building.

President Reed Hurt called the meeting to order. Aubrey Taylor led the club in the Flag salute and Caysen Cosby lead the 4-H Pledge. Secretary Owen Coover read the monthly roll call of “What are you looking forward to most at fair?” The roll was answered by 16 members, two cloverbuds, three leaders and 10 guests.

Club Leader Rachele Cosby gave the Leader’s Report, reminding members to read the newsletter and upcoming fair prep events. Reporter Braxton Clasen gave the Reporter’s Report, stating that the monthly report had been sent to the local papers as well as the Southwind Extension District Facebook Page.

Casyn Cosby gave the 4- H Council Report letting members know that the council would be purchasing flags to hang in the show arena at the fair as well as sandwiches for 4-H’ers after the livestock sale at the fair. Aubrey Taylor gave the monthly Parliamentary lesson over how to amend a motion.

Caysen Cosby introduced the program for the month. Members giving projects talks this month included, Evan Dillinger over his fair projects, Aubrey Taylor over her fair projects, Cole Wolken over his woodworking project, Sophia Coover over her sewing project, Brynn Wolken over her livestock projects, Ellie Dillinger over her fair projects, Chelby Cosby over her fair projects, Arlo Mattox over his pig project, Cooper Simmons over his projects and Holly Simmons over her fair projects.

The Club members invite the community to view all of their hard work while exhibited at the Neosho County Fair, July 24-28, in Erie.

The next monthly meeting for the Jolly Jayhawkers will be held on July 26, at 4 p.m. at the Neosho County Fairgrounds for a club dinner and tour.
