Thursday July 24: CPD conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Plummer Avenue and 1st Street. Officers spoke to persons involved. Officers arrested Charles Dodd II, 54, of Chanute, for failure to give proper signal when turning, possession of methamphetamine, and possession paraphernalia.
Thursday July 24: CPD responded to the 500 block of North Highland Avenue. Officers spoke to persons involved. Officers arrested Shannon Barnett, 47, of Chanute, for aggravated assault.
Saturday July 26: CPD conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Plummer Avenue Officers spoke to persons involved. Officers arrested Michelle Zinser, 57, of Humboldt, for criminal trespass, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, and possession paraphernalia.
Sunday July 27: CPD observed an individual hiding near the Chanute Recreational Center at approximately 4:30 a.m. Officers spoke to persons involved. Following a brief pursuit, officers arrested Gary Crowl, 28, of Chanute, for felony interference with a law enforcement officer, possession of methamphetamine, and possession paraphernalia.
Chanute Police Department informs the public of these arrests via the Chanute Police Department Facebook page. Upon completion reports will be forwarded to Neosho County Attorney’s Office for review and consideration of charges being filed. All suspects are presumed innocent, unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
