Richard Eugene Huston Sr., 78, of Chanute, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025.
Richard was born Nov. 3, 1946 in Marmaton, to John Henry and Rose Marie (Hutton) Huston. Richard was raised alongside three brothers and one sister.
He graduated from LaHarpe High School as well as Allen County Community College. He then enlisted in the United States Navy.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Donna Huston and Cece Huston, as well as an infant daughter, Amanda.
Richard is survived by four children, Dorothy (Russ), Billy (Sonia), Gene (Melinda), and Georgieanna (Kevin), as well as 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and his current love, Elaine.
Cremation has been requested and a celebration of Richard’s life will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m. at Central Park Pavilion in Chanute.
