INDIANAPOLIS — In new head coach Samuel Hall’s head coaching debut, the Neosho County Panthers suffered a pair of shutout losses on Friday and Sunday, losing to Schoolcraft, 3-nil, and defending national champion Northwest Mississippi, 8-nil, respectively.
In Friday’s loss to Schoolcraft, Neosho County goalkeeper Evie McKane was barraged with a dozen shots on goal, saving nine of them.
Schoolcraft got goals from Sophia Maldonado and a pair from Brianna Murphy.
Neosho County tallied five shots on target.
In Sunday’s defeat, the reigning NJCAA Division II national champions peppered 16 shots on goal, with eight finding the back of the net.
Emma Johnson scored twice for Northwest Mississippi.
Paola Rodriguez-Salas was the only Neosho County boot responsible for putting a shot on target.
