Scott Kevin Wrestler, 65, of Chanute passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, Sept. 2, at his home.
Scott was born Aug. 5, 1960 in Chanute. He was the son of Glenn and Alta (Felkins) Wrestler Barnett, the fifth of six children.
Scott attended Chanute High School before going to work at Wrestler Boats and Campers. Later in life, he was employed by Young’s Welding.
Scott loved music and enjoyed watching old movies. In earlier years, he loved riding his Harley motorcycle, and enjoyed his time helping coach the Chanute Wrestling Club.
Scott had a soft spot for animals and especially loved his dog, Odie, spoiling him. He would shop and buy food that Odie liked. He enjoyed visiting with people and had a sense of humor. Normally his comments would result in his sister stating “you can’t say that!”
Scott is survived by two sons, Tim Wrestler and Nick Wrestler; sisters Marsha (Ken) Aikins Sand Springs; Cindy (Terry) King, Chanute; Glennis (Lonnie) Wilson, Chanute.; brothers Glenn, Jr. (Debbie) Wrestler, Chanute; Tony (Dawn) Wrestler, Hahira, Georgia; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kirk Wrestler.
