St. Paul blows by Northeast in Week 1

ARMA — Off to the good start to the season, the St. Paul Indians throttled the Northeast Vikings, 52-18, in Week 1 8-Man action on Friday night.

St. Paul took the concept of establishing the run and poured gas on it, racking up 361 yards on the ground.

Brec Norris rushed for 184 yards and three scores while Devin Vogel added 155 yards and three touchdowns of his own.

Northeast was limited to 38 rushing yards on 23 carries. The Vikings did add 119 yards through the air.

St. Paul was 8-of-13 on third downs while holding the Vikings to a 3-of-17 conversion rate.

St. Paul’s lone black mark was a pair of lost fumbles, as well as seven penalties.

Vogel also led St. Paul with five stops while Justin Gomez added four tackles.
