Trailing 2-nil with a dozen minutes left of play, two unassisted goals from All-American Callum Niven helped the No. 2 Neosho County Panthers salvage a 2-2 draw against the Allen Red Devils in Saturday’s KJCCC opener.

Allen netted its first goal of the match off the boot of Aquil Lawlite in the 39th minute. The Red Devils extended their lead in the 68th minute with a goal from Pablo Martin Llorent.

Niven rose to the occasion, connecting on his first goal in the 78th minute before an equalizer in the 86th minute.

Neosho County registered six shots on goal while Allen notched five.

Saturday’s draw was the second in a row for the Panthers after a two-win start to the campaign.
