KDOT announces approved August bids

The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place Aug. 20, 2025, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

District Four — Southeast Crawford: County bridge over tributary to Little Walnut Creek, located 1.0 mile north and 0.7 mile east of Walnut, bridge replacement, 0.2 mile, B&B Bridge Company LLC, St. Paul, $484,474.50.

Greenwood: K‑99, culvert 530 over Homer Creek Drainage located 2.99 miles north of the U.S. 54/K‑99 east junction, culvert, B & B Bridge Company LLC, St. Paul, $1,156,315.55.

Statewide: Multiple locations in Allen, Crawford, Cherokee and Neosho counties in Southeast Kansas, rumble strip installation, Roadsafe Traffic Systems Inc., Chicago, Illinois, $121,654.60.

The following project was approved in the July 23 construction letting.

Crawford: In the city of Frontenac, South Crawford Street, from East Lanyon Street to East McKay Street; South Cayuga Street, from East Leighton Street to East Granby Street; and McKay Street, from Parkview Drive to Sports Complex just west of Johns Court, surfacing, 1.0 mile, Heck & Wicker Inc., Parsons, $1,926,696.00.
