7:00 am Run for the Sun Registration; 8:00 am Race starts; 10 am Lloyd Houk on stage. The highlights of the day is the spectacular Biblesta parade @ 1:30pm.
The festivities also include bounce houses for the kids, a charming petting zoo, live gospel music, and thought-provoking speakers sharing the Word. There will be food booths with wonderful food. Be sure to be on the square at 5:00pm for the free ham & bean feed.
G.A.L.S. FCE G.A.L.S. FCE met for their regular monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 15, in the Fellowship Hall of Humboldt Methodist Church. A total of 17 members were in attendance. Thank you notes from the Ellis family and Kobyn Goff for the Allen County Fair Booster Club support were read, She’Ree Scarrow reported on preparations being made for the annual Halloween Parade and president, Carol Bauer, updated members on the Holiday Market. She also in- formed members the monetary donation approved earlier in the year, had been sent to the Humboldt Middle School for outside picnic tables. Amanda Ames stated that Humboldt Recreation Commission had been in contact about where to send GALS commission check for summer ball concessions.
The lesson on Air Fryers was presented by Bauer where she gave some basic guidelines on the different types of fryers, the benefits of cooking with one and the features to look for when making a purchase. Vicki Wood reported $52 collected for the Milk Voucher fund and Linda Leonard reported 26 hours recorded volunteering.
The next meeting will be Monday, October 20, when the lesson will be ‘Character Counts! Trustworthiness” and Michelle McDown will be hosting.
