St. Paul wins shootout over Crest

ST. PAUL — Brec Norris tallied seven total touchdowns as the St. Paul Indians won a shootout against the Crest Lancers, 72-54, on Friday night.

Norris tallied 162 rushing yards on 25 carries with six touchdowns while also completing 3-of-3 passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.

St. Paul trailed, 28-26, at halftime before taking a 50-48 lead into the fourth period.

The Indians then outscored the Lancers, 22-6, in the final stanza.

Crest’s Xander Fuller caught five balls for 113 yards and three scores while Cole Walter added 107 yards receiving with two scores.

Crest quarterback Lane Yoakam was 23-of-42 passing for 441 yards and eight touchdowns.

Devin Vogel led St. Paul in rushing with 169 yards on 17 carries.

St. Paul, now 2-2 overall, travels to Central Christian in Week 5.
