The September monthly meeting of the Best Yet 4H club was held on Sept. 28 at Homes Saving Bank. Maddie Kepley called the meeting to order. Roll call was “what makes you angry.” It was answered by 23 members, four leaders, and no guests. The minutes of last month’s meeting were read and approved.
In committee reports, the 48 Hours of 4-H committee announced they would be collecting canned goods from club members at the next meeting to be donated to the local food pantry.
The Fall Party committee reported the fall party is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 4:30 p.m.
The club will meet at St. Patrick’s Catholic church Oct. 12 for 4H Sunday. In Leaders reports, Jill Kepley reminded everyone that reenrollment opens Oct. 1 and the deadline is Dec. 1.
There was no unfinished business. In new business the club elected the new officers for the upcoming year. Jackson moved to keep the requirements the same for club members to have membership fees paid by the club.
Caleb moved to reimburse Chelsea Jesseph for $761.66. Nolan moved to adjourn the meeting by saying the 4H moto, it was seconded. The club then sang for the members who had September birthdays. There were no project talks or demonstrations.
